** What applications benefit from using Clean Boost?
Clean Boost is effective in diesel engines of all sizes and industrial
boilers, and is used in: marine shipping, power generation, mining,
construction, ground transportation and wherever high fuel prices
or compliance with emissions or opacity regulations is a concern.
** How is Clean Boost used?
Clean Boost is added directly to the fuel. Since Clean Boost treatment
is fuel and site specific, blending ratios may vary. The recommended
blending ratios are:
Clean Boost for diesel fuel treatment is 1 : 3,000.
Clean Boost for # 6 fuel oil treatment is 1 : 5,000.
** When can improvements be expected?
Usually, it takes about three tanks of treatment with Clean Boost.
However, it is not unusual to see improvement right away.
** Has Clean Boost been proven to work?
Tests were performed at the Southwest Research Institute Antonio, using EPA standardized, internationally accepted procedures.
SAE J1321 test results indicate an average of 3.06% by weighted volume improvement in
fuel consumption.
** Is Clean Boost safe?
Clean Boost is safe to use, and it produces no harmful incremental
emissions as a by-product, unlike many fuel additives. Clean Boost
consists of a non-toxic, organo-iron compound dissolved in
solvent. The only elements in Clean Boost are carbon, hydrogen and
iron. The only byproducts of its combustion are carbon dioxide, water
and iron oxides, all of which are harmless to humans. Clean Boost should be handled using the normal precautions associated with any
solvent or fuel.
Clean Boost has no detrimental effects upon fuel characteristics,
and does not affect normal diesel engine wear.
